Dr. Rob Edwards (DMin, Westminster Theological Seminary) is associate professor of Apologetics and Pastoral Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Edwards was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America in 2000. Before joining the faculty of Westminster in 2019, he served as pastor of Mercy Presbyterian Church in Forest, Virginia (2010-2009), and with Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Georgia (1999–2010). Prior to seminary, he also served in youth ministry at Clemson Presbyterian Church (1993-1996).
Dr. Edwards’s academic interests include biblical theology and its bearing on pastoral ministry and the mission of the church, as well as the implications of apologetics, in the tradition of Cornelius Van Til, for preaching and contextualization. His DMin thesis was published as Pulpit Apologetics: A Christ-Centered Apologetic for Gospel Proclamation (Westminster Seminary Press).
